Great textures

I really like the feel of this one. It breathes well. If I had to offer criticism, I'd just say that it doesn't really "go anywhere."

I'd love to hear some kind of slow evolving growth that takes the length of the entire piece... even better would be a subtle melodic undercurrent that builds over time and eventually prompts some kind of change in the chord progression. Like a long journey to arrive at a different destination you know? But anyway, as a meditation on a single theme, it works well and has great sound ingredients. I like it a lot.

I know what you mean by "it doesn't go anywhere," you were expecting something a little more "soundscapey," if you know what that is.

Who knows? I might end up working with this track a little more, and turning it into some sort of a musical journey. Someday, when I've got a little more experience/

Tia kanto superfantazia!

(* That's how you say "this is a great song" in Esperanto).

F0R3ST12 responds:

Thanks =)

Sorry I didn't like it.

With the lead line so strong and out front like that - with such an abrasive kind of tone - it should be either really melodically interesting or else it should be really annoyingly catchy. It seems you were going for the catchy stick-in-your-head kind of thing, but IMO it didn't quite hit it, and to be honest it got pretty annoying after the first couple of times.

I can respect what you're saying. Originally this song was meant to have lyrics whether it was r&b or rap. I decided to throw it out there so people would have the opportunity to fill in the blank on their own. So yeah it could use some type of melody line. Have at it!

Beans

Easily the best instrumental song about beans I've heard this week.

Very nice

Good movement in this piece. You can tell you had a story in mind as you wrote it, and the idea it's executed well. Thx for sharing!

I liked it.

I like that you left it open. Lots of space & breathing room. Personally, I don't want to hear any dude talking about himself, how great he is, how much money he has, or who he has sex with on top of it... but that's just me. :)

Samane responds:

haha! Thks for the comments

Fast becoming one of my favorite NG artists

This is another good one. You can never go wrong with unison bass/guitar lines over a steady stream of double kick drum 16th notes. :)

joethesouleater responds:

thanks, i love a good bass line and progression is everything to me, most of the lead notes are actually 8th note triplets but the speed gives it a 16th note feel, thanks for the review, most people just vote and leave.

10 stars

I'm with the other guys... this is great.

Dudidum responds:

Man, I appreciate that a lot :D!

Thanks for your review!
